Privacy policy
This explains what personal information MARFX collects when you use this website, sign up, book a call or buy Chart Smart, what we do with it, and your rights. We keep it to what we need.
Draft for review. Written to match how this site works, but not legal advice: fill in the gaps, have it checked, then delete this note.
1. Who we are
MARFX is run by MARFX Ltd (company number 15481683), of [Registered address: to confirm]. We are the controller of your personal information. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
2. What we collect
- When you book a call: your first name, WhatsApp number, email, the time you pick, and anything you choose to ask.
- When you sign up for the free trading channel or start checkout: your first name, email, and optionally your Discord username.
- When you ask to be an affiliate: your first name, email, and optionally your phone number and where you’d share your link.
- When you pay: payment is handled by Stripe (and Klarna, if you choose it), on this website through Stripe’s own secure form, or on Stripe’s checkout page. We never see or store your card details. We receive your name, email, what you paid and when.
- Whether you want marketing: the box you tick (or don’t) on our forms.
- Technical information: like any website, our hosting records basic technical details such as your IP address and browser, to keep the site running and secure.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To arrange and hold your call, reply to you, and set you up when you join. This is to take steps at your request before a contract, and then to perform it.
- To provide the mentorship and your access to our Discord, as part of our contract with you.
- To send you trade ideas and offers, only if you’ve said yes. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- To run the affiliate scheme and pay affiliates, as part of our agreement with them.
- To know where each sale came from: each checkout started on this website carries a reference so the sale can be matched to it. This is in our legitimate interests and uses no more than the payment record.
- To work out our web agency’s fee, which is a share of MARFX’s sales (see below). This is in our legitimate interests and the agency’s, and uses no more than the payment records.
- To keep records for tax and accounting, as the law requires.
4. Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the services that help us run MARFX:
- Revive Marketing Management Ltd, our web agency, which builds, hosts and runs this website. What you send through our forms reaches us through its systems, and it can see the payment records of MARFX’s sales in Stripe (with emails partly hidden) to work out its fee, which is a share of sales.
- Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the website, Amazon Web Services, which delivers the emails our forms send, and Microsoft (Clarity), if you accept analytics cookies.
- Stripe, which takes payments, and Klarna if you choose to pay with it. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Discord, where the community runs, once you join it, Telegram, where the free group runs, if you join that, and WhatsApp, if we message you about your call.
- YouTube, which shows our video in privacy-enhanced mode.
Some of these services are based outside the UK, mainly in the US. Where your information leaves the UK, it’s protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as approved contract terms or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep it
- Call bookings and sign-ups that don’t lead to you joining: up to 12 months.
- Customers: for as long as you’re a member, then 6 years for tax and accounting.
- Marketing: until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a portable form, and you can object to us using it for our legitimate interests or for marketing. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within a month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
7. Cookies
We don’t use advertising cookies. We only use analytics if you say yes in the cookie banner:
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how people use the site: the pages visited, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, as heatmaps and recordings of visits, along with your device, browser and rough location. Anything you type into a form is hidden from it. It sets cookies (_clck for up to a year, _clsk for a day) so it can tell visits apart. Microsoft processes this for us, and it may be stored in the US with the safeguards described above.
- If you say no, or don’t answer, Clarity doesn’t run and sets nothing.
- You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Saying no after saying yes stops it and clears its cookies.
When you open the payment form, Stripe’s script runs on the page and sets the cookies it needs to take the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are strictly necessary, so they don’t need your consent. Your cookie choice itself is kept in your browser so we don’t ask on every page. The video is shown through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which doesn’t set cookies until you play it.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
